I am just sort of curious. Due to my current age, I receive tons of advertisements from different colleges asking me to visit or attend their school because of such and such an advantage. These documents do cost money to print up and send to people. I wonder what the conversion rate is for new applicants, and also I wonder how much colleges have to pay in postage to people who will never even come to their school.
Kids are easily impressioned by social media, just look at where MySpace and Facebook have a majority of their members from. Some colleges have moved into the digital age, but not all colleges have! Twitter may be one of of the best media outlets for colleges. With the ability to send text messages to interested students and no funding necessary, the advantages of twitter are just amazing for colleges!
