AdBrite is easily the WORST advertising network I have worked with thus far. They are the worst for one simple reason; they don’t know how to do it right.
AdBrite has done nothing but deter me away from their site from day one. When I signed up I had a Alpha numeric and case sensitive password, AdBrite automatically changed my password to enforce only the first letter being case sensitive. If that was not bad enough, AdBrite did not let me know about this. So I spent the first 15 minutes trying to sort this out. When I finally did log into the control panel, I was met by a easy enough to use service. I created around 10 ad zones and put them on sites with a varying amount of traffic. I enabled slide ins and pop-ups for a couple sites.
It turns out these are porn filled. I requested all ads, but it says that they are family friendly, not porn. Anyways, I displayed the ads and got dismal results. I earned $0.50 cents on my best day and most of those days had the sites getting 50,000 hits. What sort of payment rate is that? I also got about $0.08 per click on the contextual ads, about six times less than my average with AdSense.
To top it all off, I have started getting paid even less in the past few days. It is worthless. I am getting my check…in NINETY DAYS! That’s just crazy as well. Get AdSense and stick with it. At least Google knows what to do right, avoid AdBrite at all costs.

I found your site on technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. Looking forward to reading more from you.

It seems so indeed.

I agree - AdBrite is the worst. Not only do the ads contain porn even when you SPECIFICALLY SIGN UP to have nothing to do with that kind of advertising, but some of them even contain trojans, etc. It’s horrible.

I’m having the same problems with them: I got an reply from their customer support, but they were unable to access my website to see the problem due to a hosting problem on my side at the moment.
Unless they sort this out today, they’re outta my blog (as Collin suggested me to do).

hell ya. i’ve made a total of 33 cents from them. granted that i only had it for about a month and a half. but still. i probably make more money digging thru my sofa cushions

Yeah but Ryan, the little bit of money you made or can make with Adbrite is not worth what you might lose because of the type of ads they choose to place on your site, regardless of the fact that you tell them family friendly.

That’s why I want them out bree. It’s crazy how crappy they are.
Lamib, consider replacing them with affiliate banners. I have several companies I can recommend that love their affiliates and treat them well, including not pestering with PORN across their sites.
N00b, wow with your account of traffic…oh wait I was spamming traffic to my site forgot…lol.
Anyways, it seems the consenus is clear. AdBrite is the WORST network ever.

Thanks for the review Ryan, I was considering them for my site, but now I going to look elsewhere!

Entrepreneur, I think its too niche.
Matt, yes it has sucked tremendously. Their growth is nearly flat.
Glad you got some help Giun
