Many people who I talk to criticize me because I use services that themselves, are controversial. Blogging is all about bringing different viewpoints on the same subject by many different people. Whether they are paid or not shouldn’t matter. They are still bringing you content, no matter it’s quality. Hopefully bloggers are not swayed so evil as to write crappy content just to make a few bucks. I’ve been attacked because of certain things I have chosen to write about. Up front, it is both a personal/news blog that I use to get my opinions across. Why can’t I write about a trip I might of taken and contextually put in a link for a travel website? The Answer: I CAN! Bloggers just get real angry when you start making what they think is “crappy” content. I make the BEST content I can! Don’t let people mess with you, take criticism that isn’t constructive and throw it back in their faces. I am the bull, try to take me by the horns!

    In the net, there are business sites that write about themselves to promote their products, charity sites that work for the welfare of others, news sites that smack of hard truth, porn sites that earn from people’s baser instincts.

    Blog sites are different from these just because they contain the brain juice of the people who are actually running the sites mentioned above, or those that avail of the services of the sites mentioned above. What the blogger writes about is his business. Readers have the option to take it or leave it.

    To promote products or sites relevant to one’s blog, paid or not, is a blogger’s prerogative. It’s also his responsibility to only promote something he believes in, to preserve his credibility.

    I have promoted sites that I felt contained really good content, OR those whose owners are obviously brilliant people. The internet should be populated by these people, not by trolls, so I am very enthusiastic to promote them. To inspire and to encourage them to blog some more, and hopefully phase out the internet trolls once and for all.

    @Ryan
    Can you guess which site I clicked your link from. Any wild guesses?

  2. Ryan Says:

    Internet trolls will sadly be here for a long, long time. It is a shame we have to deal with them.

    PayPerPost boards, just a guess, but probably right. I always research the products/sites I am promoting. It is just that simple, I can formulate my own opinions as well as anyone else. Great comment. :)

  4. Ryan Says:

    No problem Kim, shove it right to him, in fact send him an email saying Thanks…in the swahili language of F***….well we won’t go there. Thanks Kim. :)
