Note:  I found this article when searching from something else is my documents.  It was actually written about sixth months ago and I have made some minor edits but it is still very true.

Blogging can be looked at as a business in several different perspectives.  You can use content, blank space and links to increase you revenue.

I started blogging approximately 2 years ago as a testing ground for pretty much all things internet.  I have since gone through 3 Wordpress blogs that support my main site and use WP-MU to support my many other blogs.  I first discovered how to make money from blogs back in November 2006.

I joined a number of sites in the PTR community and posted up referral urls which I have since removed.  This does not make very much unless you have a lot of cash to spend on advertising.  Some sites allow you to use on-site earnings for advertisements but still you are very limited in your funds without drawing in extra from a credit card or bank account.

I then joined my first PPC site, BidVertiser in December.  BidVertiser allowed you to put up PPC ads just like AdSense.  However, they paid via PayPal.  BidVertiser banned my account promptly in February for no reason; a canned email response followed and led me to remove their ads from my sites.

I also have used AdSense, Adify and a number of other related ventures but none of them worked out to my success.  They all had large TOS policies and I still have accounts with many, but simply do not use them.

Paid posting started on my blogs in November 2006.  I started with Blogsvertise but soon grew annoyed at the lack of opps that they sent me.  I had a falling out with Blogsvertise in early May 2007.  Next, I joined PayPerPost a startup who allowed bloggers to choose from opps from a marketplace.  PayPerPost first started in July 2006 but I did not hear of it until March 2007.  They had  a wide marketplace of opps for my page rank 3 blog which had around 350 posts at the time.  Since then, my blog has approximately 1200 posts of which at this moment around 200 are sponsored posts.

The best thing about paid posting is that you can open your blogs up to more than one companies offerings.  You can go to any number of sites and choose what sort of content you want to post.  I have worked for Smorty, Blogsvertise, Blogitive, Bloggerwave, and PayPerPost.  I currently work for all except Blogsvertise.  To date I have made over $2750 by some estimates.  On Pay Per Post I have made almost $2200.

Thanks Patricia! Your site is unique for sure, but I would recommend changing the colors a bit as the text is a tad difficult to read. Just my two cents, thanks for visiting, hope you can learn some things.

Yep, I love sponsored reviews. I have probably done around $250 with them, its hard finding active advertisers though and it is hard to be an active advertiser. GoDaddy is a great domain name place, use code dsc3 to get a .com for $6.95+.20 cent ICANN fee.

Thanks for your comments! Hope you keep visiting. :D Your blog doesn’t allow me in however, link to a valid URL and I’ll gander on over there.
